Sonia, Rahul call Modi govt’s policies anti-poor and anti-farmer

New Delhi: The Congress party, in one of its biggest public rallies in the national capital in the recent past, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, criticizing the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union government as being anti-farmer and anti-poor.
Addressing the public, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi said that the policies and the intention of Prime Minister Modi were suspect.
“They will take your land, they will not give you jobs and you will fall nowhere. Wherever there is forcible land acquisition, you will find a Congress leader around you, a youth worker around you and you will find me,” Rahul Gandhi, who made his first public address in two months, said at New Delhi’s Ramlila Grounds on Sunday.
“The policies and the intent of the Modi government is anti-poor, anti-labourer and anti farmer,” Sonia Gandhi said. courtesy: LIVEMINT
