Fortunes shift as Russell, Botha fall

Mohali: Kings XI Punjab amassed 183/5 in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter at the Eden Gardens here on Saturday.

For the visitors, Glenn Maxwell top-scored with 43 from 22 balls. Manan Vohra (39) and Wriddhiman Saha (33) and David Miller (11—ball 27 not out) were the other major contributors.

Mystery spinner Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 4/19 from four overs.

Earlier, Kings XI Punjab won the toss and elected to bat first.

Captains at toss...

George Bailey: We are gonna bat first, that's what worked for Kolkata last time. it is warm here. Hopefully some runs on the board which we can defend. We are looking for some momentum, which we can carry into the next season. We have made couple of changes. Hendricks gets his first game and Gurkeerat Mann is back in the side.

Gautam Gambhir: It was the 1st time we played 4 spinners, Narine and Hogg are those kind of bowlers, who doesn't need anything from the surface, they can turn on any track and it is a luxury to have them in a same side. We are going in with the same elevenz.
